Even though the boys get most of the attention on My Hero Academia, some ladies have managed to stand out because of the incredibly sweet bonds they have formed along the way.

While their interesting character designs and intriguing Quirks have been the main talk of the town, the ladies of My Hero Academia also assist in reminding viewers that competition does not always have to be toxic. Many of the girls possess very caring natures and offer ample support to their predominantly male teammates, however, they don’t forget to also give each other an encouraging boost in the process.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

7/7 Mig Sis Mag and Himiko Toga

Dearest Himiko Toga took Big Sis Magne’s death very personally and was more distraught by her passing than any other loss suffered by the League of Villains. She quickly developed a deep hatred for Overhaul, who murdered her beloved friend in cold blood and swore to seek vengeance one day (even siding with the Heroes for a day to claim her vindication.)

Considering that Magne (aka Kenji Hikiishi) is no longer around to defend herself, Himiko makes a point of calling out the enemy with harsh threats each time they use the wrong pronouns to describe the magnificent Magne. Much like the blonde bombshell, Magne joined the League of Villains so that she could remain true to herself without the negative influences of societal expectations. Big Sis has since become a proud representative of the transgender community, with Himiko cheering her on the whole way.

6/7 Momo Yaoyorozu and Kyoka Jiro

The first major team-up between these two occurred during the U.S.J. Arc, where Momo and Kyoka realize they have much more in common than they thought. These gal pals are often seen collaborating in epic battles or performing menial tasks together, such as hitting the books, going on a shopping spree, or enjoying a rocking session with the Class A band.

Kyoka is a rather shy young lady at heart, and can even be seen hiding behind Momo when she is feeling distressed, however, she will quickly break out of her shell to defend a friend. Momo has been the target of underhanded comments on several occasions but Kyoka always boldly stands up for her, putting the aggressor right in their place. Kyoka is also always on high alert, ready to cover Momo’s sexy bits whenever she has to strip down for her Quirk to work.

5/7 Nejire Hado and Ryuko Tatsuma

Even though this started out as a business relationship, the bond between teacher and student has certainly grown strong at the Ryukyu Agency. Nejire is an attentive intern who follows instructions without hesitation and clearly has the utmost respect for the Dragoon Hero. Thankfully for the beautiful Nejire, her mentor is nothing like Uwabami, who prefers photoshoots and media attention and would have taken advantage of the girl’s look rather than refining her impressive Quirk.

The No. 10 Pro-Hero takes great care in nurturing her brood and is delighted to see Nejire enjoying a well-deserved beach break with the rest of the team. The pair embrace like long-lost sisters before Sir Nighteye’s meeting commences, and will most likely work together for many more years to come.

4/7 Toru Hagakure and Mina Ashido

While Mina stimulates the senses with her bright colors and bold dress sense, Toru takes a significantly more discreet route (although it is not exactly optional.) Unfortunately, both these girls tread rather closely along the borders of the manic pixie dream girl trope and seem to have formed closer relationships with the boys in their class, boosting their egos in the process.

Nevertheless, these two clearly care deeply about each other and enjoy spending time together, are often spotted in an affectionate embrace, and share a deep appreciation for fashion. They make plans together for the summer and are frequently (ahem) seen alongside each other, deep in conversation overflowing with excitement from both ends. Toru and Mina are the most outspoken and confident girls in Class A, and this rowdy pair take great delight in teasing poor Ochako about her “secret” crush.

3/7 The Wild Wild Pussycats

These ladies have spent the past twelve years working alongside each other predominantly in mountain rescue missions and have even designed matching outfits to solidify their union. Pixie-Bob, Ragdoll, and their leader, Mandalay, are well known for their impeccable teamwork (and dramatic showmanship) and make a great deal of effort to ensure that Tiger feels welcomed and accepted as a transgender male.

The Wild Wild Pussycats proudly remain by Tomoko’s side after she loses her Quirk to All For One, and subsequently her Pro-Hero status too. However, thanks to the enthusiastic support from her teammates, Tomoko has found a new lease on life and will continue dedicating her energy to her dearest friends, from behind the scenes this time.

2/7 Ochaco Uraraka and Tsuyu Asui

These two are so close that they even have a sweet nickname for each other (“hon,” short for honey) and essentially represent what every great friendship needs. Ochaco and Tsu share a deep empathetic bond, seeming to know how their bestie is feeling without them having to utter a word. They are each others’ greatest support and most devoted cheerleaders and always take great care in ensuring the other feels worthy.

Ochaco and Tsu join Nejire at the Ryukyu agency for their Hero Work Studies and effortlessly integrate into the sisterhood, spreading their unwavering loyalty amongst their newest friends. These young ladies regularly fight alongside each other and will risk everything to protect the other, making themselves the best gal pals in My Hero Academia.

1/7 Eri And Everyone

Only a deranged psychopath could wish the adorable Eri any harm; just look at that face! The girls (and many of the boys) struggle to contain their excitement of having a little Eri running around, and can’t seem to wait their turn for a fun-filled babysitting session. While Eri naturally feels a strong attachment to Izuku and Mirio, her bashfulness doesn’t linger for long when in the company of the Class A girls.

Everybody loses their minds when little Eri rocks up at the Christmas Party dressed up as a tiny Santa and is completely smitten by her constant holiday gift mix-ups. Nejire also always has time for her “little sis” and adds a certain motherly touch to the traumatized child’s life. The Heroes have proven once before that they would risk everything for Eri’s safety, and would happily do it again.

Season 6 of My Hero Academia is currently streaming on Crunchyroll, with new episodes released on Saturdays.
